What is DeMolay?
DeMolay is a club for young men trying to be better and build stronger communities. DeMolay was founded in 1919 to help boys grow into successful people through mentorship, hands on planning and execution, fun, and service.
For over 100 years, we have built our organization on a foundation of ideals that includes love of parents, tolerance towards religious beliefs, courtesy, comradeship, loyalty towards each other, cleanness and patriotism.
Any young man between the ages of 12 and 21 for DeMolay, and between 9 and 11 for our Squire members, who can agree with those teachings is welcome.

Our programing centers around the idea that we are of service to one another, coming together for fun and real-life skill development and truly getting out of DeMolay what you put into it.
DeMolay doesn’t have just one focus because our members don’t have one interest. One weekend we could be tubing, the next we could be learning how to change the oil in our cars. Everything is on the table of possibility because our members are the ones who drive what we do. The limit is only in their minds and along the way, our advisors will coach and encourage them to find their place and work through their own barriers towards success.
In 1919, DeMolay began with 9 boys in Kansas City, Missouri with the help of our founder Frank S. Land. Today we have grown to help millions of young men around the world, have chapters on 5 different continents and in more than 25 countries worldwide.
Minnesota DeMolay has chapters in Minneapolis, Anoka, White Bear Lake, Duluth and Owatonna with additional members around the state. Our state leadership team is made up of a team of ambitious and talented young men with the support of adult volunteers who coach and advise them along the way.
